Was sick, now better :: January 30th, 2004 ::
I can’t remember the last time that I was sick, but I spent the last four or five days getting over a nasty cold. Last Saturday Jessamyn and I were visited by a friend of ours who was covering the primary in New Hampshire, and I think I may have caught the virus from him. The cold was a nasty one, bred out of thousands of reporters, consultants, pundits, and a yes, a few candidates, convening in New Hampshire. The subzero temperatures, coupled with the exhaustion and malnourishment of all those people created an many potential hosts with compromised immune systems in which a virus might flourish. But that’s all over, for the most part. Sure, I have some conjestion, but I’m sleeping well again and am able to sleep well. It’s amazing how great just feeling normal can be.
