Why You Haven’t Heard From Me

I don’t think I mentioned I going to do it, but last Saturday I took the LSAT. It was a stressful affair, but I got through it, thanks very much to six months of sometimes sporadic studying and a supportive girlfriend who, as luck would have it, taught the LSAT for the Princeton Review a few years back. I’ll be applying to law school in the next few months, but will try to maintain the same level of irregluarity in updating as was the case in the past.

Fifteen days in between updates is a bit excessive, even around these parts.

The Last Interesting Thing That Happened to Me

I got my car repaired yesterday. No big thing really; a ball joint started squeaking and I wanted to get it replaced. Overall it was $80. Not bad. Banking on low price tag and my (however groundless) feeling that I’d developed a certain rapport with the mechanics there, I mentioned that I had a slow leak in my front right tire. The guy said he’d take a look at it. A few minutes later, he comes back with a two-and-a-half inch metal shard in his hand. He shows it to me.

“This is what was in there,” He says in a deadpan way, suggesting that maybe I’d get as much of a juvenile kick out of it as he did.

“Wow” I replied. “That would do it.” I was authentically impressed.

He threw the thing away, and it clanged against the inside of the metal trash can.
